At this time of year I like to look back and do a little self review of the year before and decide if I need to make any changes for the year ahead. But first here are some of my favourite moments of 2013.
The year started out with snow. Lots and lots of snow. Which I love for maybe a day, then it just becomes annoying.
In February I took a trip to the Necropolis in Glasgow. This is probably one of the creepiest places I’ve been to in Glasgow but still a nice place to go for a walk, especially at sunset.
July meant summer holidays and a long awaited trip to the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Its no Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios but still pretty good.
In August I celebrated my 23rd birthday and headed back to college to study Graphic Design. This meant for most of autumn I was too busy or tired for blogging.
2013 should have been called the year of the books. One of my resolutions at the start of 2013 was to read more books and even though I failed the 52 book challenge I now have enough books that I won’t need to go buying more for a while.
Overall 2013 was a very weird year. It felt much longer than a year and to be honest I still can’t believe that its actually 2014. And even though December didn’t go quite as planned (emergency surgery isn’t fun) I think overall 2013 was a pretty good year.
And now my plan for 2014:
- Loose weight. According to BMI I went from obese to overweight in 2013. To be exact I lost 53lbs. In 2014 I would like to go from overweight to normal. This only means loosing another 30lbs which seems doable in a year. I hope.
- Make more art. In 2013 I learned that I actually quite like graphic design. So I’m going to try doing more arty and crafting type stuff.
- Read more books. I’m probably going to fail the 52 book challenge again but I shall try anyway. If I actually find the time to read it should be pretty easy as I have a pile of books just waiting to be read.
I realise that the changes I want to make in 2014 are almost exactly the same things I wanted to change in 2013 so basically I’m just improving on them again.
