2015 Book Releases

This year I read a grand total of 2 books that were published in 2014. This is something I want to change in the new year so I’ve been doing some research and here are some books being released in 2015 that I think could be quite interesting.

Her mother, Grace, finds it impossible to let this secret rest. For Floss, Neva’s grandmother and a retired midwife, Neva’s situation thrusts her back 60 years in time to a secret that eerily mirrors her granddaughter’s—a secret which, if revealed, will have life-changing consequences for them all. Will these women reveal their secrets and deal with the inevitable consequences? Or are some secrets best kept hidden?

These all sound good, but especially My Heart and Other Black Holes.

The next Flavia de Luce book comes out in 2015 – I’ll definitely be reading that!

  2. Britta

These look fantastic! This list makes me want to become a hermit for a few days and spend all of my time cuddled up reading as many good books as possible. 🙂

I’m super excited to read Golden Son by Pierce Brown.. it’s the second in the Red Rising trilogy…. these sound awesome too! So many books, so little time.

  4. Florence Pennington

These sound like such good suggestions! I am also working on reading more recently published material, although I honestly do love classics. Thank you for sharing this list!

This list is so intriguing! I haven’t heard of many of these, but I will check them out. Thanks for checking out my blog, and I’m happy to have found yours 🙂

Interesting list for upcoming books. I am of the opinion that although one should try to keep pace with the newly published literature, however it might not be a great idea if one’s reading is comprised mostly of books printed in the same year. There is a wealth of contemporary, near-contemporary and classic literature which should find ample space in one’s reading list 🙂

The thing with reading newly released books is you have to get through all the bad ones to find a good book. However I am trying to work through the classics too.

It’s a good aim for next year! Sort of opposite to mine, but once I have mastered my backlog (probably not gonna happen by the end of 2015!) I’m straight into the best new books scene…

Glad to see that Ernest Cline has a new book out. It sounds like the plot has echoes of Ender’s Game in it? With Ernest’s style that will be great 🙂

Happy Christmas, and have a booky 2015
