There is a shop in Glasgow called Voltaire and Rousseau.

It may look unassuming.

But they have many books.

Many many books.

Some books may be terrible but there are gems to be found.

And they have a cat.

Oh my gosh! I love bookstores like this. There is one in my hometown like it, but it isn’t complete with a resident cat in the box. I should suggest they get one 😉

great bookshop! I saw one similar once…it was so packed, customers almost had to side step to get through…..nuch as I love bookshops it scared ME… what a fire trap…I left as soon as I could without even browsing…and that is remarkable for me. This shop was impassible. Yes, they had cats.

Hi Emma! I hope to visit this bookshop one day – funny to see a book about Montreal (my hometown) peeking out from a box 😉 It also reminds me of Paris’ Shakespeare & Co, have you been? (Though it might have closed already..?) So chock-full of treasured, dog-eared books, from all around the world. Thanks for sharing.
