My Anticipated Releases For The Rest Of 2016

It’s that time again where I share the rest of 2016 book releases I am most excited about. And yes one of these is technically not coming out till 2017 but it’s coming out in the US soon, don’t know why the UK release is so far away. Also is it just me or is this year going past really quickly?

Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton (11/08/2016). This is about a scientist living in a remote part of the Arctic who finds a child. And then I think some sort of apocalypse happens. I’m not really sure. Oh and it’s about an astronaut as well. Also the cover is nice.

The Comet Seekers by Helen Sedgwick (25/08/2016). This is another story set in the Arctic. It’s about two people who meet and fall in love and I’m assuming it also has something to do with comets. Again I really like the cover.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by JK Rowling (31/07/2016). Do I really need to explain this book? It’s not a proper Harry Potter book it’s just the script of the play (which I’m going to see soon omg I’m so excited).

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Illustrated Edition by JK Rowling (04/10/2016). This is the illustrated edition of Chamber of Secrets. Usually I don’t buy multiple copies of the same book but I’m breaking my rules for this series because Jim Kay’s illustrations are just that pretty.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: The Original Screenplay by JK Rowling (19/11/2016). Yeah I really don’t know much about this book but I pre-ordered it anyway because JK Rowling is queen. Though I did recently get an email from Amazon saying I will receive it on release day so thats a plus I guess…

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles (09/02/2017). This is the story of an aristocrat in Russia who is sentenced to house arrest in a hotel in Russia. I think it’s just the story of him having to live in a tiny hotel room for decades while watching what’s going on outside.

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo (27/09/2016). This takes place right where Six of Crows left off and I don’t want to give away any spoilers for those who haven’t read Six of Crows yet but I’m really excited for this.

Night Without Stars by Peter F Hamilton (22/09/2016). This is the continuation of Hamilton’s Chronicles of the Fallers series which is set between the Commonwealth saga and the Void trilogy. And I really don’t know much about it because I haven’t read the first book yet (I should do that) but I’m excited anyway because Hamilton writes brilliant space operas.

Obelisk by Stephen Baxter (18/08/2016). This is a series of short stories set in the Ultima and Proxima worlds. I haven’t actually read those books yet but I’m going to at some point because I’ve been really enjoying Baxter’s books recently.

Thanks for reading.

I’m not sure. I’m getting through about a book a week just now but it really depends on how busy I am and how good the book is and a bunch of other factors.
