July Instagram Wrap-Up

I’ve finally gone back to posting every day on Instagram so I thought I would share what’s been happening over the last month.

I shared some of the photos I took at the Duncan of Jordanstone Degree Show back in May. Even though we went to see the graphic design work I actually ended up spending more time looking at the textile design work. I could have spent hours looking at all the patterns and stuff those students had worked on. Really makes me want to try designing patterns.

I’ve been doodling again. This time on super cheap craft paper. I think the black and white looks really good on the brown. Especially with the little bits of gold (you can’t see the gold very well in the photo but it looks really cool when the light hits it). I actually managed to kill my gold sharpie while drawing this and was way more upset than anyone should be over the death of a pen.

The Fireman was the one book I had been really excited about this month but when I finally got it it was at least 400 pages longer than I expected it to be. Like it was so big I had to crack the spine just so I could read it. But there is nothing better than the sound a book makes when you crack the spine.

I came across the paperback edition of Seveneves in my local bookshop and that book is so pretty. I think I might be in love.

Like normal the dogs were begging for food. I’m really starting to think they might be hobbits in disguise. You have no idea how many times Alfie has fooled us into giving him two breakfasts.

My Cursed Child tickets finally arrived! I was starting to get a little worried there especially after all the problems I had when I originally booked them. But I got them and I’m going very very soon now. I was asked if I’m going to review the play and I really don’t know. I don’t want to give away spoilers and since the ticket is covered in #keepthesecret and JK Rowling actually made a video asking people not to give away spoilers I don’t know how much I can write about.

Thanks for reading.

It looks like you’ve had a busy month! I’m trying to doodle too, although you seem to be having more success than me – I love that design – keep up the good work.
Yes it’s always sad when a pen dies 😦 but it might mean we (I) love stationery too much 😀
