I’m getting really behind with these things. A few weeks ago I was tagged by Tasha at The Bookie Monsters to do the This or That book tag and I’ve finally got around to it. This tag was originally created by Ayunda at Tea and Paperbacks and like always I won’t tag anyone but if you want to do it feel free.
- Mention the creator of the tag
- Thank the blogger who tagged you!
- Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
- Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!
Reading on the couch or on the bed?
Is reading on the train an option? Because thats really the only place where I read just now. I get like 20 minutes while on my way to college and thats it. Though I used to do most of my reading in bed so I suppose thats my answer too.
Male main character or female main character?
I think most of my favourite books have a male main character but I’ve been really trying to read more diverse books so I would have to say female.
Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?
I don’t usually eat when reading. My hands are usually too busy with holding the book for me to be eating at the same time. But I will almost certainly have a cup of tea while reading. I mean I use any excuse to drink tea but yeah…
Trilogies or quartets?
I’m going to say trilogies just because they are shorter. The thing about stories that span multiple books is I forget what happens in the time it takes me to start the next book in a series. This usually results in me having to start the series again from the beginning (which I almost 100% won’t do) or try to find the cliff notes version so I have some understanding of whats going on.
First person point of view or third person point of view?
I think I read more books that were written in third person but so long as it’s done well I don’t really mind wether it’s first or third. The important thing is second person pov, I have actually refused to read stuff because parts were written in second person.
Reading at night or in the morning?
I prefer reading in daylight so whenever that is? I sometimes read in bed at night but I stop when I have to put a light on so I can read. Not sure why but I’m not a fan of reading in artificial light.
Libraries or bookstores?
I love librarys but I’m going to have to say bookstores just because my own local library is terrible and it’s easier (and often times cheaper) to buy a book second hand rather than get to the library to borrow a book.
Books that make you laugh or make you cry?
I think The Martian was one of a very few books where I actually laughed out loud while reading it. As for crying, I think A Pocket Full Of Time by Kirsten Beyer was the last book that made me cry.
Black book covers or white book covers?
I’m going to say white purely from a design perspective. I dunno, I just think white looks better on a well designed cover.
Character driven or plot driven stories?
Depends on how good the story is.
