October Plan With Me Challenge

Over the month of October I took part in the Plan With Me Challenge run by BohoBerry and LittleRayOfSunshine over on Instagram. This is really just another way to show off parts of your bullet journal and though I didn’t take part every single day I thought I would share some pages. Note: these photos were taken directly from my Instagram page so if you’re following me there you’ve probably already seen them.

Introduction // I’ve decided to take part in the Plan With Me Challenge this month since I’ve just moved into a new bullet journal. I’m using an A5 lined notebook from Muji which I’ve cut down to fit in my travellers journal.

Monthly overview // I’m trying out a different layout this month, usually I would use the recommended list layout. But I’ve found I much prefer looking at the overview this way, though I think the boxes may be a little too small.

Today // Usually I would lay my daily pages out in advanced but I’m trying something new where I have a weekly overview and I do my dailies as needed.

My “why” // I use a bullet journal because I need to stay organised (like most people who use them I imagine). I post twice a week on my blog, I’m doing a full time college course and I have various personal projects to work on as well. If I didn’t know what I was doing every day I imagine I wouldn’t get it all done.

Favourite tools // I use the Kuretaki brush pen for lettering. My gel pen, pencil and sticky notes are from Muji. And of course I wouldn’t be able to do anything without washi tape.

For fun // I don’t really doodle in my bullet journal but I do enjoy playing about with brush lettering. Though I still need to practise more. Also I think my pen is about to run out of ink.

Goals // I created a page to track my blog stats. I also have a column for where I would like my stats to be, I’m not sure if you would call it a goal since I don’t really expect to hit those numbers.

Colours // You know you’re taking this bullet journal thing way too seriously when you try to figure out a colour scheme using the washi tape you have that accurately conveys how you feel about a particular month. TL;DR November is blue.

Workspace // My desk is a little small and doesn’t have much storage but it works for me. It’s also usually tidier than this.

Unique & useful // I got this stencil on Etsy with commonly used icons. It means they look much nicer and takes less time while planning.

Health // I have chronic fatigue syndrome so I use a tracker to note down my symptoms. I find its really useful to see all my bad days and compare that to previous months, that way I can tell if my CFS is getting better or worse.

November // Trying a totally different layout in November. I wanted to see if I prefer this style (the headers are shamelessly stolen from Tumblr). Also I’m moving into a squared notebook because I prefer the grid.

Thanks for reading.

Love your bullet journal! And that stencil is a great idea, I must look into getting one of those – would probably save a lot of money instead of always buying stickers!

I just started my second bullet journal and moved from dotted to squared. Not sure which I prefer yet. It’s the first time in all my years of using scheduling tools that I’ve stuck with something. Haven’t gotten overly creative yet, but loving it just the same. Good on you making it more fun!

Yeah I really like the bullet journal system. I’m not a fan of making them really decorative though. I love how they look but don’t see the point in spending hours and hours doing it.

I love bullet journalling. I just started and at times wish mine looked a little nicer – although I try not to get caught up in that! Love the stencil idea!

I like your desk layout… camera and lots of pens etc. πŸ™‚ by the way I had chronic fatigue about 4 years ago, it took me 2-3 years, but I’m about 99% normal now.. would be happy to write a note of everything I did if it would helpful (I tried loads of things).
