I got up this morning and had no clue what to write about. So I thought instead I would share some of the things I’ve been liking recently.
Paperchase Agenzio Notebook
I got this gridded notebook recently to use as a bullet journal and I actually prefer it to the Moleskines or Leuchtturms. The grid is just a tiny bit smaller than what I am used to, it seemed quite noticeable when I looked at the notebook but when I measured it the grid is only 1 millimetre smaller than the Moleskine or Leuchtturm. But there is something about the grid being a tiny bit smaller that I love, I think possibly the lines are in a much darker ink which makes a difference. Anyway I’ve been using this notebook as a bullet journal and I love it.
NerdCubed’s Planet Coaster Series
I basically grew up playing Rollercoaster Tycoon. It was my favourite computer game as a kid and still is as an adult. Planet Coaster was released a few weeks ago which is the sort of continuation to the RCT series, and by that I mean it was made by the people who did RCT3. Unlike Rollercoaster Tycoon World which was also recently released but looks terrible. Basically what I’m trying to say is I want Planet Coaster and can’t get Planet Coaster because my PC won’t run it so I’ve been watching YouTubers play it instead.
So I’m sure most people will know all this by now but basically Mike Pence went to see Hamilton on Friday night and was booed by the audience. The cast of Hamilton then read a letter to him at the end of the show thanking him for coming and telling him about the concerns they had about the future of America. Everything was all very polite (you can actually watch it in this video). Anyway Trump then claims that the cast of Hamilton attacked Pence and that they should apologise. It has got to the point where people are saying you should boycott Hamilton.
Now there are a few hilarious things about this. First of all the people who think you should boycott Hamilton are not actually the people who would go to see Hamilton. Then you also have the fact that Hamilton is sold out for the next year and a person who paid $2000 for a ticket isn’t going to give it up just because of a few angry people on Twitter. I’m actually more amazed at the fact people aren’t angry over the rumours of King George (Rory O’Malley) singing What Comes Next? directly to Pence. Especially when some of the lines are: Do you know how hard it is to lead? You’re on your own. Awesome. Wow. Do you have a clue what happens now? Basically this is the funniest thing to come out of musical theatre in a long time.
I’ve been doing quite a big research project just now for college and I’ve been using Evernote to collate all my research. I love that it has a little widget on Chrome so I can save webpages. I can then open them in Evernote and highlight parts and tag the article so it’s easier to find. Basically I love it. I think I might actually start using it for all my blog related stuff too.
Crazy Cat t-shirt
I recently got a t-shirt from Next with a cat pattern on it. My sister immediately declared it was ‘awful’, however I love it and when I was in London over the weekend I was actually asked where I got it from. I realise this might not be a big deal to most people but I am not especially fashion savvy and this has never happened before. Basically I love my cat t-shirt and my sister is wrong and maybe I should start a fashion blog cause apparently I’m doing something right.
